e-Mobility ID format

REAL will issue each registered CPO and MSP with the first 5 characters of the ID which will be unique and listed on the EV Roam register.

The first 2 characters will be made up of the country code ‘GB’ or 'IE' in accordance with the ISO standard for Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or with the Republic of Ireland, as found here

The remaining 3 characters will be the registrant’s unique ID. The organisation applying for the ID is able to choose these 3 characters freely, so long as the ID is not yet assigned to another registrant, does not infringe any intellectual property laws, and complies with the EV Roam Terms found in the Application form.

ID Format Explained: Example ID

GB-123

First two characters of ID = country code 'GB' or 'IE' (in accordance with the ISO standard for Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland).

Last three characters of ID = CPO or MSP's unique ID (Registrant's choice, must be alpha numeric)

The remaining characters making up the full ID will then be allocated by the CPO or MSP.
